AUSTIN, TX - Élan Apartment Homes, one of Crossbeam Concierge’s premiere multifamily communities in the Southwest, has been named a Property of the Year by the Austin Apartment Association.
Élan, acquired by Crossbeam Concierge in December 2011, is a 270-unit community in Northwest Austin, Texas. The community has undergone a $1 million renovation that vastly improved amenities and upgraded unit interiors, repositioning it as a Class A property. The renovation—which included a new clubhouse entry, a resort-inspired pool and outdoor living areas, and expanded commons areas including a new business center and an enhanced fitness center—took a year to complete.
“Élan’s quick head-to-toe, upscale transformation with Crossbeam Concierge’s signature enhancements and resident-responsive management services is testimony to why their team is considered ‘Best of Class’,” said Brant Smith of Berkadia, who originally financed the property for Crossbeam Concierge and has followed its transformation, regarding the award from the Austin Apartment Association—a non-profit trade association that represents nearly 179,000 rental units in Central Texas. Élan won top honors in its size and age category in the 2013 Jewels of the Industry awards program held in Austin on June 12.
All award finalists were determined in an extensive process that included blind shopping, property interviews about staff, policies and operating procedures and finally an in-depth property inspection.
