Cortland Increases Unit Count with New Phase of Cortland Powers North Resort-Style Apartment Community in Colorado Springs

ATLANTA, GA - Cortland, a vertically integrated, multifamily real estate investment, development, and management company, is pleased to announce the opening of the first building in a new phase of Cortland Powers North, which will grow the Colorado Springs apartment community from 272 to 450 units.

“We are thrilled to begin welcoming new residents as we continue working to address a shortage of quality homes in this rapidly growing area of Colorado Springs,” said Chris Fletcher, executive vice president of development for Cortland. “We’re committed to raising the standard of apartment living with resident-focused hospitality and service in a luxury community designed to make everyday living easy.”

The second phase of Cortland Powers North will include an additional 182 units and feature six unique one- and two-bedroom luxury apartment floor plans with designer kitchens and bathrooms. The new construction includes a second resort-style pool, a sky lounge, an additional bark park, and another state-of-the-art fitness center that will be available for residents of both phases of the community.

The community will feature 24 EV chargers as well as a novel valet trash system, whereby residents’ trashcans are located in kitchen cabinets adjacent to the building’s corridor walls. A second corridor side door allows our team of valets to remove trash bags directly from resident bins without stepping into the unit, alleviating the need for our residents to ever remove a trash bag from their home.

Phase two was built to complement the aesthetic of the first phase and is oriented, including a stunning sky lounge, to maximize the breathtaking views of Pikes Peak – the highest mountain on the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Cortland Powers North also offers convenient access to large employers including Peterson Air Force Base, St. Francis Medical Center, and UCCS, as well as popular shopping dining, and recreation spots.

“Colorado Springs is a dynamic community that offers a stable and growing employment base, lower cost of living, and incredible natural resources, so we expect the demand for housing to continue to grow,” said Fletcher.
