TDHCA seeks input on 2008 LIHTC Applications

The best affordable rental properties are those that offer a high standard of living at a reasonable rent while working hard to be good neighbors. To ensure the properties it helps fund perform on both counts, TDHCA seeks public input each year on its annual Housing Tax Credit Program awards cycle.

Texans wanting to provide comment on applications in this year's Housing Tax Credit (HTC) Program allocation are encouraged to attend one of seven public hearings scheduled April 7-9 across the state by the Department. Interested parties may provide testimony in support of or opposition to any of the more than 100 applications in the 2008 cycle.

The seven hearings will be held in Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Harlingen, Houston, Lubbock, and San Antonio.

A detailed log of all applications in the 2008 HTC Program cycle is posted on the Housing Tax Credit page. Individuals wanting to provide comment but who are unable to attend any of the hearings are encouraged to provide written comment. Such comment should be addressed to:

Multifamily Finance Production Division
Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs
