HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Apartment Association (HAA) yesterday elected the following new officers and board members for 2011:
Officers:
President - Jenifer Paneral, CPM
Paneral is senior vice president and chief operating officer of property management at Concierge Asset Management. With 27 years of experience in the multi-family housing industry, she was named Owner/Management Executive of the Year in 2001 by HAA and serves on HAA’s Media Relations and Budget Committees. She also chairs the Legislative Committee, Resident Credit Reporting Advisory Task Force; is a Texas Apartment Association board member; and a delegate for the National Apartment Association (NAA).
President - Elect – Mack Armstrong, CPM
As managing director of real estate for Greystar, Armstrong oversees all facets of property operations for a business unit consisting of 12,000 multifamily units in Greystar’s Central Region. He works closely with clients in asset evaluation during acquisitions, implementing value-added strategies for Class A new construction projects. He chairs the Membership Committee. Armstrong is a Texas Apartment Association board member and is a delegate for the National Apartment Association.
Vice - President - Trey Stone
Stone, president and chief executive officer of Guardian Equity Management, founded the Guardian Equity group of companies and has overseen the acquisition and management of each property held in the company’s portfolio. He is also the president of Liberty Real Estate Advisors, LLC.
Stone received the 2008 Paragon Award from the National Apartment Association for the Independent Rental Owner of the Year, the HAA 2007 Independent Rental Owner of the Year and the TAA 2010 Independent Rental Owner of the Year. He chairs the Houston Apartment Foundation’s Education Advisory Council and Investment Committees. He is a Texas Apartment Association board member and a delegate for the National Apartment Association.
Secretary – Jackie Rhone, CAPS, CAM
Rhone has been in the apartment industry for over 25 years, and currently is Senior Managing Director of Real Estate for Greystar Real Estate Partners. She has served on the HAA Board of Directors and the Education Advisory Council. She was awarded the HAA Property Supervisor of the Year Award in 2006 and was named HAA Owner/Management Executive of the Year in 2010. She is the recipient of the prestigious Rita Kerby Regional Property Manager of the Year Award and the Frank P. Finch Presidential Award. Rhone is President of the Texas Apartment Association Education Foundation.
Treasurer – Alison Hall, CAPS, CPM
As the Director of the Camden Contact Center for Camden Property Trust, Hall is responsible for a specialized boutique-style Contact Center focused on internal sales and customer satisfaction. She has 30 years of industry experience and served on the HAA’s Board of Directors since 2000. In 1996, she was named HAA Supervisor of the Year and in 1998 awarded HAA Go-Getter of the Year. Hall currently sits on the HAA Expo Committee.
