LandSouth Construction Begins Work on The Flats at Edgewater Luxury Apartment Community

JACKSONVILLE, FL - LandSouth Construction, a Jacksonville, Fla. based general contractor specializing in multifamily, senior living and mixed-use development has begun construction on The Flats at Edgewater, a luxury apartment community in Indian Land, S.C.

Located on Edgewater Parkway, The Flats at Edgewater is situated on 20 beautiful acres near the state border between North and South Carolina.

LandSouth Construction is currently working on apartments, senior living and mixed-use developments throughout the Southeast including Charlotte, N.C., North Augusta, S.C., Boca Raton, Tampa, Bradenton, Kissimmee, Jacksonville,  Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Sanford, ChampionsGate, Winter Springs and Orlando Fla., Chattanooga, Tenn., Hixon, Tenn., and senior living developments in New Port Richey, Nocatee, Bonita Springs and Fort Myers, Fla.

The 287,000 square feet community has 289 spacious residences in 10 floor plans including handicapped accessible. One, two and three-bedroom apartment homes will range from 708 to 1,420 square feet. The Flats is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2019.

Award winning Charlan Brock & Associates of Maitland, Fla. is the architect. Integra Land Company of Lake Mary, Fla. is the developer.

The overall design is meant to tie in to traditional South Carolina architecture. Exteriors are a mix of textured stone with cool colors and warm accents. Spacious interiors feature granite counter tops with under mount sinks and stainless-steel appliances.

Resort-style amenities include a luxury pool with outdoor televisions and a grill station. Residents will enjoy a modern fitness center, sports bar, theater room and a dog park.

Indian Land is in the northernmost part of Lancaster County. It lies east of Fort Mill, just five miles south from Ballantyne in southern Charlotte, and west of the villages of Marvin and Waxhaw in North Carolina.  U.S. Route 521 and South Carolina Highway 160 are two major roads that run through Indian Land. Rock Hill, in neighboring York County, is the largest city near Indian Land.

Celebrating its 20th year, LandSouth has completed more than 15,000 multifamily units including apartments, hotels, senior living, student and military housing, condominiums, townhomes and mixed use in the Southeast.
