CAMARILLO, CA - As part of a multi-million dollar renovation to University Glen Apartments in Camarillo, CA, owner Kennedy Wilson has rebranded the community as Mission Hills Apartment Homes. The new name reflects the traditional mission style architecture as well as the beautiful location of the property, which is set amongst the rolling hills of the Santa Monica Mountains.
Since acquiring the apartment and retail portion of University Glen in 2016, Kennedy Wilson has been focused on enhancing the 328 unit apartment community, which also features a unique town center with retail and dining options adjacent to the California State University Channel Islands campus.
Residents are seeing many new upgrades during the transition including a completely remodeled clubhouse with game room, meeting spaces, conference room and a new state-of-the-art fitness center. Improvements also include exterior paint throughout the property and renovations to the business and leasing office. Apartment interiors are also receiving modern upgrades as they become available.
Kennedy Wilson is currently working on plans to add an additional 600 residential units to the community, including 170 apartments for low-income seniors and 120 for-sale single family homes. Work is expected to begin on the second phase in mid-2018.
E&S Ring has had the privilege of managing the community since August, 2016.
