roOomy Places Second in 2017 NMHC OPTECH Launch Pad Competition

LAS VEGAS, NV - roOomy announced today it placed second in this year’s Launch Pad competition for the Technology Innovation Award, a contest held annually during the National Multifamily Housing Council’s (NMHC) OPTECH Conference & Exposition.

Now in its sixth year, Launch Pad has become the multifamily industry’s leading tech start-up competition and premier showcase of new and innovative multifamily technology solutions. Chosen from over 30 applicants, a panel of industry expert judges narrowed down the competition to ten startups, and then ultimately selected four finalists who were given the opportunity to compete live during OPTECH.

All four finalists, including roOomy, Fetch, STRATIS and Urbandoor, presented during the show and then were asked questions by a panel of industry and technology experts chosen by the NMHC staff. roOomy’s presentation outlined how modeling and rendering capacity capabilities allow businesses to easily transform thousands of listings from 2D to 3D. The presentation also discussed how this technology can improve the ways multifamily professionals, apartment seekers and home furnishings retailers work together to quickly produce interactive, engaging staging content that targets specific clients’ needs to close the lead-to-lease time gap. After the panel questioning and review, the OPTECH audience voted live to determine a winner of the NMHC Apartment  Technology Innovation Award.

“We were honored to have been recognized as a Top Four Finalist by the National Multifamily Housing Council judges and to be given the opportunity to demonstrate to the more than 500 multihousing experts in attendance how roOomy’s virtual staging’s break down the visualization barriers that often accompany the apartment hunting process,” said Pieter Aarts, co-founder and CEO of roOomy. “We are proud of the value roOomy brings to both industry leaders and tenants alike via a better shopping experience."
