PHOENIX (April 11, 2011) — "Suspicion," the Phoenix Film Festival's second-place winner for screenplays written and filmed in Arizona, takes place in various Phoenix locales — including Level at Sixteenth, an Alliance Residential community in the Camelback Corridor.
Written and directed by David Dilley, the film stars Brad Blaisdell as Darrell Jacobs, an aging ex-mobster diagnosed with lung cancer and given six weeks to live, and Suzanne May as Alicia Foret, a young law student with whom Darrell develops a close relationship. Cast and crew were on-site at Level for two weeks in April 2010, filming in the "Central Park" floor plan, a two-bedroom, two-bath loft residence that served as the set for Alicia Foret's home. In addition, a Level Associate — Nichole Kotsur — is an extra in the film.
"Alliance and Level are proud to be involved with this award-winning production, especially since it features so many great Phoenix locations," says Alliance Regional Manager Jamie Beer, who oversees six communities in Phoenix, including Level at Sixteenth. "We wish the cast and crew continued success with future film festivals and the film's public release to select theaters nationwide."
Suspicion premiered at the 11th annual Phoenix Film Festival, held March 31 through April 8 at the Harkins Scottsdale/101 Theatre. The festival annually screens more than 100 films and Suspicion was shown three times. The film will also be shown at the Sundance Film Festival and released to select movie theaters nationwide.
Developed in 2009, Level at Sixteenth is an urban, luxury apartment community, owned and professionally managed by Phoenix-based Alliance Residential Company. For more information, visit www.levelatsixteenth.com or www.allresco.com.
