The opening session, the "Industry Leaders Forum," sets the theme for the 2011 Distressed Real Estate Summit: Opportunity. The focus is on finding the best deals in each sector which offer the greatest value. Other topics include raising capital for distressed acquisitions, buying assets from banks and special servicers, commercial real estate workouts, tax lien trading and investing, working with receivers–how to get access to assets to buy or broker, and challenges and opportunities with buying and selling office, residential, and hospitality properties. The day concludes with a cocktail reception and exhibitors' showcase.
Registration fees for the Distressed Real Estate Summit are $395 in advance and $495 on-site. Separate registration is required for pre-conference workshops and is $30 with the full conference registration or $95 for a workshop only and $65 and $135, respectively, on-site.
