Alliance Welcomes New Personnel

PHOENIX (Jan. 18, 2011) — Alliance Residential recognizes the value of its Associates and embraces the notion that their success as individuals is the backbone to our success as a company. As such, Alliance is pleased to announce the following:

John Zeledon recently joined Alliance's Southeast Region as the Managing Director of Development for Central Florida. He is responsible for establishing a central Florida office, which will oversee all new development and acquisition activities in the Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa areas. During his 20-year career, Mr. Zeledon has developed multiple product types — including affordable, garden, townhouse, high-density, affordable senior, detached-for-lease and mixed-use — with extensive experience in northern and central Texas and Florida. Mr. Zeledon graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and received an MBA from the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill.

On the West Coast, Michael B. Yanicelli is Alliance's newest Managing Director of Development, with responsibility for sourcing new investments and managing the development/acquisition process in Southern California. This includes originating and negotiating land purchases for development, managing the development and construction process, and acquiring existing apartment communities for rehabilitation. Mr. Yanicelli brings eight years of development, acquisition and construction experience — four of which were centralized in the Southern California region — with a focus on infill and mixed-use developments. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Yanicelli is active in the real estate community and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He also serves as a council member of The University of Texas Real Estate Finance Investment Center and elected board member of the Torrey Pines Community Planning Commission.

At the Phoenix corporate office, Blerim Zeqiri was recently promoted to Director of Revenue and Research. Mr. Zeqiri has proven to be a valuable asset to the Alliance team over the past five years — he has served in multiple roles, including his most recent position as Asset Manager for the Southwest and Mountain divisions. In his new position, Mr. Zeqiri will be responsible for the implementation of a lease-revenue optimization (LRO) program for Alliance communities, and will lead a research effort intended to blend the macroeconomic and microeconomic indicators affiliated with pricing discussions and market-specific investment strategies. He earned a B.S. degree in Management from the W. P. Carey School of Business and a B.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Phoenix.
