SwiftPark Launches In The United States

With SwiftPark's cutting edge, completely secure technology, parking lot management is extremely accurate and delivered in real time. Property managers know how difficult it can be to offer parking services: They need to collect and manage payment, and ticket or remove unauthorized vehicles, while juggling all of their other responsibilities. It doesn't matter if the parking lot serves an apartment building, office building, sports complex, or campus, parking lot management can be headache and parking responsibilities frequently outweigh the return.

SwiftPark has recently launched with the aim to solve that problem. SwiftPark is a Canadian-based company serving residential, commercial, municipal, and non-profit organizations who want to spend less time managing parking while improving the service they provide to their parking lot users.

Joanne Hatch, co-founder of SwiftPark, explains how SwiftPark started: "We saw the amount of work required to manage parking lots and we knew there was an opportunity there. So we built a system using the latest technology to help save parking lot managers time."

The process is simple. Property managers request a free sign from SwiftPark that they post in their parking lot. The sign outlines payment options parking lot users have, which include secure payment online or by mobile device. The user's license plate number is added to a real-time list of approved vehicles that can be accessed by the property manager or tow company monitoring the parking lot. Meanwhile, the payment is collected by SwiftPark and remitted to the property owner regularly and the property manager also has access to an online account that allows them to track payments and parking lot usage.

SwiftPark's launch was well-received as several apartment buildings and condos signed up to switch their parking management over to SwiftPark's easier system.

Peter Alves, co-founder of SwiftPark and Hatch's business partner, explains why he believes property managers are signing up: "They're frustrated by the hassles of parking lot management and they realize that a SwiftPark parking lot means there are no change collection issues, there are no disputes about who is authorized to park, and there are no more trips to the bank with bags of coins."

With the successful launch behind them, SwiftPark is building up a following of avid property manager fans who know that their precious time is better spent elsewhere. And, they are preparing to launch in the US in January, taking their Canadian-based success story to property managers south of the border.

"This is a game changer," says Hatch. "It will transform how parking lots are managed."
