TAMPA, FL - Robbins/Electra America (REM) completed the purchase of a 964-unit multi-family community in Houston, TX, bringing their total number of communities under ownership and management to 60, with 18,602 total units. The newly renamed community is Copperfield North, located at 8727 Oak Park Drive, in Houston.
The units and grounds will receive a complete makeover. Some of the upgrades include:
An outdoor chef’s kitchen near the main pool
A ‘bark park’ for residents’ four-legged friends
Plank flooring and faux wood blinds
Upgraded kitchens including new appliances and custom backsplashes
In a recent interview, Robbins’ COO, Kristi King, talked about what the addition of the latest community to the REM portfolio meant to her and the company.
“We are so happy to celebrate the closing of this property. It was the last property in a portfolio we have purchased over the last eight months, and it felt like quite an accomplishment to get them all buttoned up. ”
When asked about the renovations in store, she said, “We are really excited about the newly upgraded homes we will be working on over the next few months. The residents are amazed at our process for renovating their homes while they remain in place. We disrupt their lives very little, and we give them an instant lifestyle upgrade when we leave.”
The renovation crews are a combination of REM employees who travel to new locations to oversee the renovations, and craftsmen and women who are hired from the local market.
“We are happy to be able to bring jobs to the greater Houston area,” said Ms. King. “We are continuing our momentum as one of the fastest growing multi-family community owner-management companies in the country and we couldn’t do it without great people.”
