The Kensington Completes Pet-Relief Suite Featuring Dog Mural by Artists for Humanity

BOSTON, MA - The Kensington, a 27-story, 381-unit apartment tower located at 665 Washington Street in Boston, MA, announced today that it has completed its on-site Pet-Relief Suite, providing residents with an indoor facility for convenient pet socialization and relief during cold and rainy days. Adding to the unique amenity, The Kensington continued its long-standing relationship with Artists for Humanity, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing under-resourced youth with the keys to self-sufficiency through paid employment in the arts, which was commissioned on April 30th, 2015, to paint a large-scale Dog Mural on the exterior of the suite.

The playful Mural, featuring a variety of popular dog breeds donning business suits, adds an attractive and creative aspect for residents to enjoy while their pets utilize the facility. Notably, the apartment tower’s indoor Relief Suite provides yet another unique addition to its pet-friendly amenity package, which also includes a Groom Room Pet Spa (equipped with professional doggie baths), convenient access to walking, grooming, and sitting services, and close proximity to the animal-friendly Boston Common. Additionally, The Kensington charges no pet deposits, fees, or monthly rent.

“As an artist, I was interested in this unique and different type of project,” commented Sadia Bies, Artists for Humanity Painter. “The dogs, in simple and stylish suits, adds a creative and humorous touch to The Kensington’s Pet-Relief Suite. I hope the dogs and their owners enjoy this playful contribution to their community.”

The Kensington has successfully collaborated with Artists for Humanity previously, having purchased three large pieces for the community’s board room and commissioning the organization to mark each door tile with the unit number and an image of a Boston landmark.

Adding to the development’s luxury offerings, residents of The Kensington enjoy over 28,000 square-feet of free amenity space including a state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio, business center and coffee bar, game room complete with billiards tables, multiple meeting rooms, an outdoor pool, solarium, and a quiet E-Lounge to kick back and escape the hectic pace of everyday life. Residents are offered professional 24-hour concierge service, dry cleaning and laundry, car cleaning and detailing, free bike storage, in-unit package delivery, and various monthly resident events.

The Kensington provides a sought-after location in downtown Boston and convenient access to Downtown Crossing and the Financial District, as well as Beacon Hill, the South End, and Back Bay.
