CAMBRIDGE, MA - Atmark Apartments (Atmark) recently held a holiday decorating contest for community members at its 428-unit luxury apartment community located in Cambridge, MA. O’Connor Capital Partners, a privately-owned, independent, real estate investment, development, and management firm, is the owner/developer of Atmark.
The #DeckTheHallsAtmark contest saw residents submit photos of their apartment homes decorated for the holidays. These photos were then posted on Atmark’s social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and residents and followers were asked to vote for the winner by “liking,” commenting, and sharing their favorite.
Atmark community members Hollie and Christopher Figueroa were chosen as the winners after receiving more than a dozen likes on their photo of their cat “Soot” admiring their beautifully decorated Christmas tree adorned with lights and ornaments for the holidays.
“We are so excited Atmark chooses to participates in programs like the Cambridge Police Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive, which was a wonderful way to encourage the holiday spirit of giving in our home,” said Hollie Figueroa. “Soot loves his home and is often found perched on the trunk in front of "his" fireplace. We want to thank Atmark for the opportunity to share a little holiday cheer this season!”
Hollie and Christopher received a gift basket full of treats including a selection of beer, pretzels, snack mix, popcorn, and more, and their photo will be used as Atmark’s official Facebook and Twitter cover photos for the remainder of the holiday season!
To give back to the local Cambridge community during the holidays, Atmark Apartments also donated gifts to the Cambridge Police Department’s Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive in the Figueroas’ names. The donation included socks, slippers, hats, and gloves to help fill gift bags for over 500 senior citizens who will be surprised with a holiday gift on Christmas Eve.
“At Atmark we love finding new ways for our community members to get involved and engage with one another,” said Caitlin Silva, Community Manager at Atmark Apartments. “And rather than just giving to the winner, being involved in the Cambridge Police Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive allows us to spread holiday cheer in our community as well.”
