The Michaels Organization Names Bill Sweeney National Facilities Director. Responsibilities will include Facilities Management at all Michaels Military Housing Properties.
Marlton, NJ - Bill Sweeney, a construction professional with more than 45 years experience, has joined The Michaels Organization as Director of Facilities Management for Prestige Renovations. Prestige is one of six integrated companies that comprise The Michaels Organization, a full-service residential real estate firm dedicated to excellence in affordable, mixed –income, and military housing.
Sweeney's primary responsibility will be the creation of a new division for Prestige that will oversee all facilities management and renovations at the five military installations where Michaels Military Housing is currently developing and managing family housing under the Department of Defense's housing privatization program.

Hansen, Senior Vice President of Michaels Military Housing and Prestige Renovations. "We are delighted to welcome him to our team," Hansen said.
Prior to joining The Michaels Organization, Sweeney held a similar position with Balfour Beatty Communities (formerly GMH Military Housing). He also previously served as a renovation facility manager for housing privatization at Fort Carson, Colorado. Sweeney brings over four decades experience in every facet of facilities management, including site management, design-build, commercial construction, road and bridge construction, planning, estimating and project management. He will be based at Fort Huachuca in Arizona, where Michaels Military Housing is currently constructing more than 200 new homes and a community center for military personnel and their families.
Michaels Development Company Hires New Development Officer: The Michaels Organization announced today that Joseph J. Chambers has been named a new development officer with Michaels Development Company. Chambers will work on several major projects that Michaels Development Company has under way in Florida, including mixed-income developments in Sarasota and Sanford. Chambers comes to Michaels with experience working as a developer with several housing authorities in Florida and as a consultant to non-profit organizations looking for development partners on affordable housing projects utilizing Low Income Housing Tax Credits. He previously served as a Development Associate with Picerne Development Co. Chambers holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida and is currently a graduate student in the Sustainable Construction Program at the University of Florida, Gainesville.
