LOS ANGELES, CA - TCA Architects today revealed the much-anticipated architectural renderings for Equity Residential’s ‘Altitude at Howard Hughes Center’, a 545-unit luxury apartment community that has just recently broken ground, announced Eric Olsen, principal at TCA Architects. Located adjacent to the myriad of amenities found at The Promenade at Howard Hughes in West Los Angeles, CA, completion of the community is scheduled for third quarter of 2016.
According to Olsen, “Altitude’s architectural design is reflective of Howard Hughes and the aeronotical themes at the center. Featuring glass towers, Altitude’s design is a contemporary interpretation of the art deco style that currently exists within the area.”
Altitude will offer luxury studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans with clean modern materials. A multitude of modern amenities, including fitness facilities, social lounges, outdoor living spaces, pools and spas, business centers, and full-service entertainment rooms. In addition to the onsite amenities, residents will enjoy the many entertainment and restaurant options at the newly upgraded outdoor entertainment complex, Promenade at Howard Hughes Center. The Promenade now features a Cinemark Extreme Digital Cinema, Dave & Busters, Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, Soup Plantation, Islands, Starbucks, Johnny Rockets, Rubio’s, Ben & Jerry’s, and more.
The evolution of the Howard Hughes Center is a result of the continuing influx of retail and office development in the greater Playa Vista area. As the commercial marketplace continues to grow, so has the need for additional housing. “The completion of Altitude will provide hundreds of new residential units, satisfying the growing need for contemporary housing surrounding Silicon Beach,” said Olsen. “The design team has created a distinctive design for this landmark development, which enjoys tremendous visibility from the adjacent 405 freeway and the growing communities around Howard Hughes Center.”
