RentMatch Creates First Index to Track and Rank Rental Listing Websites Nationally

SEATTLE, WA - RentMatch, an apartment review and rating startup, today announced the creation of the first index to track rental listing websites. The index currently tracks and ranks 140 different rental listing website using a proprietary algorithm that factors in site quality, site traffic, syndication, design and search engine optimization.

"There are so many rental listing sites these days it's hard to keep track of them all," said Phillip Lee, CEO of RentMatch. "Not only are there new rental listing startups launching just about every month, but large property management software companies like Yardi or Property Solutions are jumping into the game with their own consumer facing rental search sites. With this index we hope to bring visibility and clarity to the rental listing ecosystem. Identifying the top websites will also help property owners and managers allocate their listing dollars more effectively."

The Top 10 rental listing websites on the RentMatch Index for April 2014 are:

1.) Zillow
2.) Craigslist
3.) Trulia
4.) Apartments.com
5.) Rent.com (RentPath)
6.) ApartmentGuide (RentPath)
7.) ForRent
8.) ApartmentFinder
9.) Move.com
10.) HotPads (Zillow)

RentMatch plans to update the rental listing index monthly and the company will continue to add new sites to the index as they discover them.
