LDG Development and Suntrust Bank Clelebrate the Grand Opening of New State-of-the-Art Multifamily Apartment Community in Midlothian, Virginia

MIDLOTHIAN, VA - LDG Development, an award-winning affordable housing developer, is proud to announce the opening of Brookcreek Crossing in Midlothian, Virginia. These upscale apartment homes in Metro Richmond will offer families a quality place to live less than a mile away from nationally recognized Midlothian High School and the all-new Westchester Commons Mall.

The three-story energy efficient apartment community will offer 70 units consisting of six one- bedroom, 40 two-bedroom and 24 three-bedroom units of rental family housing, which is income restricted for Virginia families. The apartments range in size from 770 to 1,136 square feet.

“It has always been our goal to have Brookcreek Crossing serve deserving families who may need a little support in order to maintain housing,” said Chris Dischinger, LDG Development Principal. “Over the years our team has seen how a first-class home instills pride in our families and leads to a lifelong, successful resident.”

The $12.3 million project is located at 14700 Bridge Creek Drive, Midlothian, VA 23113. Brookcreek Crossing is located near Watkins Centre, Village Park and a retail center that includes Target, Office Max, SunTrust Bank, Gold’s Gym and Regal Cinemas. The apartment community is within walking distance of a CVS Pharmacy and other convenient grocery stores.

All units are EarthCraft certified and include a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and microwave plus carpeting and faux hardwood. Lush landscaping surrounds an outdoor swimming pool, walking trail plus grills and picnic areas for families to enjoy in addition to a tot lot. There is ample parking for the residents. All first floor units are also Fair Housing Accessible.

Residents can gather indoors in a furnished community room with a giant flat-screen television, kitchen area, fitness room and a business center with complimentary Wi-Fi on all computers.

“Brookcreek Crossing provides additional housing options for working families in ever-growing Chesterfield County,” said Paul Woodworth, President, SunTrust Community Capital. “This project represents another successful public/private collaboration to offer affordable housing options for our residents.”

Funding for Brookcreek Crossing was made possible through several sources including but not limited to: SunTrust Bank, Virginia Housing Development, Winks Snowa Architects, Weber Group, Xpert Design and Construction, and LDG Multifamily, LLC.

“As Virginia’s housing finance agency, VHDA is committed to financing projects that are responsive to the changing needs of communities as well as to the emerging trends in housing and community development,” said VHDA Executive Director Susan Dewey. “Brookcreek Crossing is a great development that helps us meet these goals, and VHDA is pleased to work with LDG Development on this and other developments in the future to provide safe, quality, affordable housing for Virginians.”

The 5.9-acre complex is managed by Drucker and Falk Property Management. Rents start at $500. For more information please call 804-794-9440 or www.brookcreekcrossingsapts.com
