Wood Partners' Alta Heights in Houston, Texas Sees Successful Lease Results in First Four Months

HOUSTON, TX - Wood Partners, L.L.C., one of the nation’s most active multifamily developers, has already leased 173 units at Alta Heights, a 256-unit apartment community that opened four months ago at 145 Heights Blvd. between the historic Heights district and the city’s dynamic Washington Corridor.

"Alta Heights’ location, near Houston’s major employment corridors and within walking distance of an impressive group of retail stores, nightclubs, and restaurants, makes it a very desirable place to live,” said Todd Gaines, Wood Partners’ South Texas director.

Designed by Womack + Hampton and built by Wood Partners, the four-story building on 3.5 acres consists of 256 units, including efficiencies, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Amenities include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, under-mount sinks, subway tile backsplashes, distressed walnut vinyl plank flooring in kitchen and living areas, environmentally friendly plush carpet, washer/dryers in each unit, and garden tubs and showers in select units. Approximately half of the units come with a technology package including built-in Bluetooth-capable surround-sound.

Highlights of the community’s common areas include a courtyard with pool, barbecue grills, an outdoor kitchen with TV, a second courtyard with water fountain and grill, a fitness center, leasing office and club room with kitchen and bar areas.

Rents range from $1,265 a month for a studio to $2,105 a month for a two-bedroom.

“In addition to offering a quick and easy commute to Downtown, the Medical Center, Greenway Plaza and the Energy Corridor, Alta Heights offers modern, luxurious homes with state-of-the-art amenities,” said Gaines. “For residents who want to live in the heart of Houston, Alta Heights is definitely the place to be.”
