San Antonio, TX—(July 21, 2009) The Greater San Antonio Builders Association announced that The NRP Group LLC is the recipient of the Best Billboard Campaign for the Association's 2009 Summit Awards.
The Summit Awards are the Association's premier annual event recognizing the outstanding achievements of its Builder and Associate members.
The Greater San Antonio Builders Association's 1000+ Associate and Builder members compete for the celebrated awards in 100 categories in the areas of Promotional, Product and Personal Achievement. Judges from across the country score each entry, narrowing the field to one winner for each category. The Association recognizes excellence of achievement in marketing, advertising and product with a golden eagle Summit Award for the winner.
"We are proud to receive this award from the Greater San Antonio Builders Association and I congratulate our marketing team for creating such a unique campaign," said Dan Markson, Sr. Vice President Development, The NRP Group. "We met our objective of leasing up The Alhambra Senior Apartments - you couldn't help but notice the billboards on major highways in San Antonio."
The Alhambra is the newest property on the Southside of San Antonio, where for years the area in general had not been a target for developers and investors. However, Mr. Markson and NRP saw the potential to meet the needs of the growing 55+ market in the community, which is known to be one of the largest senior populations in the city.
"Our strategy was to develop a unique billboard campaign surrounding the city of San Antonio to target the children of the senior demographic who would assist their parents in making a move to a new community," said Diane Christy, Director of Marketing, The NRP Group. "We used an eye-catching design and a unique web site address - MoveTheParents.com to attract the young Baby Boomers and Gen X demographics. Web site page hits and visits were being tracked and escalated during the time the billboards were displayed." Ten billboards were strategically placed on major highways for a period of four months.
