CHARLOTTE, NC – Shane Seagle, Managing Partner and Development Director at Southern Apartment Group, was recently selected as the recipient of the Carolinas Chapter of CORENET Global Scholarship. Shane was awarded this partial-tuition scholarship for the Master of Science in Real Estate (MRSE) program at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
“Shane received his scholarship from the Carolinas Chapter of CORENET Global, the premier organization for corporate real estate professionals,” said Dustin C. Read, Director of the Center for Real Estate and the Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) Program at UNC Charlotte. “Shane was selected based on his academic qualifications, extensive industry experience, and demonstrated ability to contribute to professionalism in the regional real estate industry.”
After earning an undergraduate degree in civil engineering at UNC Charlotte, Seagle worked in the construction and engineering fields and developed an interest in the real estate development process. Seagle was named to the “40 Under 40” list by the Charlotte Business Journal in 2006. The “40 Under 40” list recognizes individuals under the age of 40 who have been highly successful in business in the Charlotte region. Over a 30-year career, Seagle and Managing Partner Charles Lindsey McAlpine have developed in excess of $2 billion in real estate assets.
