Cleveland, Ohio (May 20, 2009)—The NRP Group announced the grand opening of Cameron Court Senior Village a 48 unit community located at 8600 Cameron Street. NRP partnered with Vanguard Community Development Corporation to provide a state-of-the-art community for seniors. The ribbon cutting ceremony was well attended by Cameron Court Senior Village residents, Bishop Edgar L. Vann, Jr., President & CEO of Vanguard CDC, Scott Alan Davis, Executive Director, along with local dignitaries Mayor Dave Bing and Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano. News anchor, Rhonda Walker of WDIV Local 4 served as mistress of ceremonies.

This was the first ribbon cutting ceremony for new Mayor Dave Bing. "Cameron Court represents hope and promise for a revitalized Detroit. I congratulate Vanguard Community Development Corporation for serving our seniors with this beautiful facility," said Mayor Bing.
"I am so happy and blessed today," said Thelma Mitchell, a Cameron Court resident. "The building is so beautiful—it is like a rainbow. Each [apartment] door is painted a different color and our grounds are immaculate. I am delighted we can live our golden years at Cameron Court."
The 52,000 square foot Cameron Court Senior Village boasts 6-one and 42-two bedroom apartment units, full meeting facilities, a community/activity room, computer lab, a massage room and salon along with laundry facilities on each floor.
