HOUSTON, TX - Wood Partners announced today the promotion of Todd Gaines to director. He will oversee the development, design and financing of construction in South Texas, including Houston and San Antonio.
“Todd has proven himself to be a valuable team member, first as we played defense through the slow times, and now, as he has led our ramp up in Houston in the new development cycle,” said Todd McCulloch, Wood Partners’ Texas director. “He’s worked hard to earn this.”
Gaines joined Wood Partners in 2007 and has been instrumental in the financing, development, and management of more than 2,000 housing units valued at more than $225 million.
“We are excited about our prospects in South Texas,” said Gaines. “Houston and San Antonio are experiencing strong job growth and expansion, which is driving an incredible demand for rental housing. We will continue to meet this need with best-in-market multifamily communities.”
Prior to joining Wood Partners, Gaines was an attorney with Houston-based Dabney & Pappas where he specialized in real estate litigation.
Gaines earned a master’s degree in business from The University of Texas McCombs School of Business, a law degree from South Texas College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University. He is a member of the Associate Council of the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center at UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business.
