WHEN: Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 2:00 p.m. ET
WHO: Jerry Howard, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President, National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and David Seiders, Chief Economist, National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)
WHAT: With uncertainty in the housing market and an upcoming presidential election, many questions will arise in 2008: When will we begin to see a housing recovery? How are builders faring in the current housing market? Will we see more major economic challenges ahead? What role do policy issues play in the housing turnaround? These questions and more will be discussed in a year-end forecast call hosted by the National Association of Home Builders. NAHB Chief Economist David Seiders will discuss the role of housing on the overall economy and will share his housing forecast for 2008 and beyond. Jerry Howard, NAHB's chief executive officer, will cover the builder member perspective, and will discuss how political issues will affect the housing market.
Members of the media will be given the opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the call.
