Guardian Water & Power Releases New Cloud-Based Billing Platform Technology

COLUMBUS, OH - Guardian Water & Power, a national leading provider of submetering products and utility billing services recently contracted with a 90 unit multifamily community in Bellevue, Washington and a 390 unit condominium association in Columbus, Ohio to provide radio-frequency equipped utility submetering systems. Guardian will also provide on-going, monthly RBC services.  Both radio-frequency equipped submetetering systems are equipped with Inovonics Wireless’ recently released, cloud-based TapWatch.com technology.

“Inovonics is pleased to have Guardian as one of the first RBC customers to implement TapWatch.com,” said Mark Jarman, president of Inovonics. “We designed our industry leading IP-enabled software to help customers streamline their business through readily available Ethernet connectivity. TapWatch.com will allow Guardian to provide resident billing, administration and utility management through an easy-to-use online interface. By choosingTapWatch.com they have moved to a more reliable connection method, will avoid costly installation fees and prevent significant disruption by avoiding the inevitable obsolescence of the analog phone line that’s standard with traditional submetering systems.”

Guardian installs and monitors water, gas and electric metering systems in multi-unit residential and commercial properties. These systems typically connect individual meters through a radio frequency network that transmits readings once a day to Guardian’s national billing center. Guardian provides meter installation, maintenance and utility billing services for real estate investors in over 30 states, the District of Columbia and Canada.
