SCOTTSDALE, AZ - The Multifamily Innovation® Council announced today it will host a free live virtual webinar titled The State of Rental Fraud in Multifamily on October 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern. The session is part of the Council's Multifamily Innovation® Showcase business impact series and features Michael Brown, Chief Revenue Officer at Rent Butter.
The educational session is designed for multifamily owners, operators, CFOs, and operations leaders responsible for approval decisions, delinquency, and collections. Fabricated identity, employment, and income documentation now reach the leasing office looking like a legitimate application, while many operators are running three or four disconnected systems to make a single approval decision. The webinar will focus on what operators are seeing across portfolios today rather than speculation. This live webinar is part of the Council's ongoing education series leading into the Multifamily Innovation® Technology & AI Summit, the industry's annual gathering focused on investment performance, innovation, leadership, and operational resilience.
