SCOTTSDALE, AZ - The Multifamily Innovation® Council today announced the finalists for the 2027 Best Places to Work Multifamily® program. The official national rankings will be announced live on the main stage at the Multifamily Innovation® Technology & AI Summit, December 1–3, 2026, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The rankings are revealed at the Summit, in front of the industry. Recognized executives accept their award on the red carpet, on camera. Select leaders will be invited to share executive remarks on how they design, build, and lead high-performing teams.
“Our companies and our properties are becoming more technologically advanced every year, and the technology is the part everyone can buy. The same AI and the same tools will be available to all of us. What separates one organization from another is the ability to bring the right people into the business and engage them well enough to create long-term value for their owners and operators,” said Patrick Antrim, Chairman of the Multifamily Innovation® Council.
“As AI changes how the work gets done, it raises the bar on engaging, retaining, and growing leadership inside an organization. The real operational leverage, today and tomorrow, is people. Now in its 12th year, this program recognizes the companies that have demonstrated that ability.”
Best Places to Work Multifamily® is a workplace assessment and recognition program for the multifamily industry. The program follows a comprehensive assessment process. Companies complete the registration process and provide information about their organization. Employees complete a confidential survey about their workplace experience. The research team analyzes the survey results across multiple dimensions of workplace culture. Top-performing companies receive national recognition and detailed assessment reports.
The program evaluates workplace experience across eight benchmark categories: Leadership, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training, Development and Resources, Pay and Benefits, and Overall Engagement. The program also references the Average of All Categories.
Rankings are recognized across Multifamily Management/Owners (1 - 4,999 units; 5,000 - 19,999 units; and 20,000+ units), Multifamily Suppliers/Vendors, and Best Places to Work Multifamily® for Women.
The organizations named as finalists this year range from regional operators to national portfolios and include owners, managers, and the suppliers and technology partners that serve them. What they share is a willingness to put their workplace in front of their own employees and be measured on the answers.
In addition to the overall program, organizations may qualify for the Best Places to Work Multifamily® for Women list. That list carries its own qualification criteria and is determined by the survey responses of women at the organization.
