Woodfield Development Begins Residential Deliveries at Woodrow House Build-to-Rent Townhome Community Along Atlanta Beltline

ATLANTA, GA - Woodfield Development has begun residential deliveries at Woodrow House as the community’s first build-to-rent townhomes are completed along the Atlanta Beltline’s Westside Trail. The milestone marks the opening phase of the 325-home mixed-income community and the beginning of residential occupancy at one of Atlanta’s most anticipated West End developments.

The initial delivery includes 25 townhomes, representing the first homes available within Woodrow House. Additional townhomes and multifamily residences will continue delivering throughout the coming months, with the full community expected to open later this year.

Located at 840 Woodrow St. SW, Woodrow House will ultimately deliver 325 residences, including 66 affordable and workforce housing units, alongside more than 12,000 square feet of neighborhood-serving retail.  The community features a mix of apartments, build-to-rent townhomes and live-work residences connected by public gathering spaces with direct access to the Atlanta Beltline.

“Beginning residential deliveries is an exciting milestone because it marks the transition from construction to community,” said Brett Bowden, director of development at Woodfield Development. “Woodrow House was designed to expand housing opportunities while embracing everything that makes the West End unique, from its rich history and culture to its connectivity along the Beltline. We’re excited to begin opening the community and look forward to seeing it continue to come to life over the months ahead.”

The newly completed two-story townhomes feature spacious three- and four-bedroom floor plans with open-concept living areas, attached private garages, private outdoor living spaces and contemporary finishes throughout. Residents will enjoy access to an extensive list of amenities, including a resort-style pool, fitness center, coworking spaces, pet amenities and landscaped gathering areas. Additional amenities, including the property’s podcast studio, club lounge and sky deck, will open as future phases of the community are completed.

Beyond housing, Woodrow House was designed to strengthen the surrounding neighborhood through a mix of community-focused spaces and economic opportunity. The development includes commercial space for local entrepreneurs, including shipping container storefronts for startups and small businesses.  An existing building on the property is also being adaptively reused as the headquarters and workforce training facility for a local coffee roaster committed to hiring within the surrounding community.

Situated directly along the Atlanta Beltline's Westside Trail, Woodrow House offers residents walkable access to Lee + White's growing collection of restaurants, breweries, entertainment venues and locally owned businesses while remaining connected to the historic West End and Oakland City communities.

“Woodrow House represents much more than new housing,” Bowden said. “It’s an investment in one of Atlanta’s most historic neighborhoods and reflects our commitment to creating housing, gathering spaces and local business opportunities that contribute to the community for years to come. We’re proud to begin opening Woodrow House and look forward to completing the vision in the months ahead.”

As additional residences are delivered throughout the year, Woodrow House will continue opening its apartments, neighborhood retail, public gathering spaces, and live-work residences, completing one of Atlanta’s premier mixed-income communities along the Beltline.
