MIAMI, FL - SG Holdings, in partnership with New Urban Development, an affiliate of the Urban League of Greater Miami, in collaboration with ANF, construction manager for the project, officially broke ground on Serenity Gardens, a new affordable senior housing development in the City of Miami Gardens, Florida.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by representatives from SG Holdings (Swerdlow Group), New Urban Development and ANF, along with honorary guests Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, County Commissioner and former Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver G. Gilbert, III; Miami Gardens Mayor Rodney Harris; City Councilmen Reggie Leon and other city officials.
Located on city-leased land at 18330 NW 12th Ave. in partnership with the City of Miami Gardens, the eight-story senior living community will feature 153 affordable senior apartments, including 16 studios, 122 one-bedrooms, and 15 two-bedroom residences. Residents will enjoy a variety of amenities, including a multipurpose room, fitness center, package room, mail room, leasing office, swimming pool, surface parking, and a stormwater retention pond.

The project team for Serenity Gardens includes ANF as the construction manager, Modis Architects as the architect of record, and Bermello Ajamil & Partners, a Woolpert Company (BA), as the civil engineer. Completion of Serenity Gardens is expected in 2028.
