RMK Management Announces Renovations are Underway at Award-Winning Bristol Station Rental Community in Naperville Market

CHICAGO, IL  - RMK Management Corp., one of the Midwest’s largest market-rate apartment management firms, today announced renovations are underway at its award-winning Bristol Station rental community in Naperville, Ill. The renovation initiative encompasses all 348 apartments and is being conducted on a rolling basis as units become available. To date, 40 apartments have been renovated, with a targeted completion rate of three units per month.

“Since the community opened in 2002, Bristol Station has been one of the premier rental properties in Naperville, with its spacious apartments, impressive suite of on-site amenities and high level of resident service from our experienced property management team,” said Anthony Rossi Jr., president of RMK Management Corp. “Units were first renovated in 2009, and to continue providing residents with the sophisticated finishes and features that are sought after today, we are renovating each apartment again to ensure Bristol Station stays ahead of the market.

“As testament to our belief that the refreshed units showcase stylish interiors in line with any new-construction community in the area, earlier this year Bristol Station won a coveted Renovation – Unit, On-site Team CAMME award,” Rossi added. Each spring, the Chicagoland Apartment Association hosts its Chicagoland Apartment Marketing and Management Excellence (CAMME) Awards ceremony, which recognizes and celebrates excellence in the local multifamily housing industry.

Located at 704 Greenwood Circle, just south of Interstate 88 between West Diehl and North Aurora roads, Bristol Station offers one- and two-bedroom residences with one to two baths. Current rents range from $1,822 to $2,926 per month.

Bristol Station renovations are being handled in-house by the community’s experienced maintenance team to ensure quality control and consistency, said Rossi. One exception is bathtub resurfacing, which is being outsourced due to specialized chemical requirements.

The improvements focus mainly on kitchens, baths, paint and flooring with a contemporary design aesthetic. Throughout the apartments, interiors are updated with fresh, neutral paint and new carpeting in the living room and bedrooms that complement the refreshed color palette.

Kitchens are being modified with a layout that provides better sightlines into the living and dining areas, creating a more conducive environment for conversation between the three spaces. Renovated kitchens will also feature sleek graphite gray cabinetry, white quartz countertops accented by a modern glass tile backsplash and light gray vinyl plank flooring.

Bathrooms revamps include premium Moen plumbing fixtures, updated chrome hardware, light gray vinyl plank flooring and new large rain-style showerheads.

Enhanced lighting improvements include under- and over-cabinet lighting in the kitchen, additional LED recessed lighting in the living room and new LED fixtures throughout the apartment, creating a bright and inviting living space, said Rossi.

Standard apartment features at Bristol Station that won’t need a refresh include 9-foot ceilings, crown moldings, in-unit laundry and large walk-in closets. Each apartment comes with an oversized patio or balcony, and individual garages with automatic openers are available. Select units offer computer niches, brushed nickel light fixtures and fireplaces with mantels.

On-site amenities at Bristol Station include a heated outdoor pool with sun deck, fitness center, business center, outdoor lounge area with grills and a fire pit area with seating. The community also features ample green space and natural wetlands.

Bristol Station’s central Naperville location is another perk for residents, as the community is near numerous parks as well as shops, major retailers and a wide range of dining establishments. Residents are about a 10-minute drive to downtown Naperville and the Riverwalk. The community is served by the highly acclaimed Indian Prairie School District 204 and is near Fox Valley Mall, a popular shopping center. Residents are less than 2 miles from Interstate 88 and within walking distance to the Route 59 Metra train station on the BNSF Line, which takes passengers to Union Station in downtown Chicago.
