Phoenix, AZ (May 4, 2009) The NRP Group announced the grand opening of 48 affordable garden style apartment homes located at 105 E. Main Street, Payson AZ. The Center Ridge Apartments will provide residents with affordable two and three-bedroom apartment homes along with an array of amenities including a clubhouse with computer center, community room, and picnic area. Payson Mayor Kenny Evans and LaTonya Williams from the Arizona Department of Housing were present for the official ribbon cutting ceremony, as well as other local dignitaries and community leaders.
"We are thrilled to have this wonderful facility completed and open here in Payson. We have had a great relationship with The NRP Group, their staff and contractors throughout the planning and construction phase of development. We look forward to a continuing great relationship as we move forward," said Payson Mayor Kenny Evans.
Mayor Evans continued to remark, "It has been said that our future lies in our ability to dream—our happiness lies in our willingness to pay the price to make our dreams come true. NRP has paid that price. We look forward to a happy and prosperous relationship in the years to come."
The Arizona Department of Housing was represented at the event by LaTonya Williams, Rental Programs Specialist. "On behalf of Governor Jan Brewer and Director Dan Cardon of the Arizona Department of Housing, we are pleased to have participated in the development of Center Ridge Apartments in Payson," said Williams. "ADOH has contributed in the development of approximately 40,000 affordable housing units to benefit low income individuals. ADOH was able to fund Center Ridge Apartments with HOME program funds in the amount of $750,000 and approximately $7 million in Low Income Tax Credit. It has been a pleasure to work with NRP and the entities involved with Center Ridge Apartments."
Community amenities include a playground, planned activities and social services. The units come with a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, range exhaust fan, disposal and refrigerator. In addition, the apartment homes include ceiling fans and window coverings and are cable TV and high-speed internet ready.
