The valves are a component of AT&T’s new Digital Life residential security and home automation packages. “Our 30 years experience installing utility submetering systems made us a perfect fit to assist AT&T in their new Digital Life services.” said Harry Apostolos, Guardian CEO. “Electronically actuated shut off valves also have potential application in our multifamily submetering services.” Guardian installs and monitors water, gas and electric metering systems in multi-unit residential and commercial properties. These systems typically connect individual meters through a radio frequency network that transmits readings once a day to Guardian’s national billing center. Guardian provides meter installation, maintenance and utility billing services for real estate investors located in over 30 states, the District of Columbia and Canada.
