Interra Realty Brokers Two Multifamily Buildings in Chicago's Jefferson Park and Bucktown Neighborhoods for a Combined $10.55 Million

CHICAGO, IL - Interra Realty, a Chicago-based commercial real estate investment services firm, today announced it brokered the sale of two apartment buildings in Chicago. The 14-unit 5069 N. Northwest Highway in the Jefferson Park neighborhood sold for $5.65 million, equating to $403,571 per unit. The eight-unit 2034 N. Avondale Ave. in the Bucktown neighborhood traded for $4.9 million, equating to $612,500 per unit.

Interra Senior Managing Partner Brad Feldman represented the seller in both transactions, a private local developer. Director Michael Duckler represented the confidential buyer of 5069 N. Northwest Highway. The private buyer of 2034 N. Avondale acquired the property as part of a 1031 exchange and assumed the seller’s debt on the asset. Both properties were fully occupied at the time of sale.

“These deals highlight just how competitive Chicago’s multifamily market remains, particularly for newer, well-built product,” said Feldman. “Investors are actively pursuing opportunities on the North and Northwest sides, even at premium pricing, because there’s so little of this caliber available.”

Constructed in 2023, 5069 N. Northwest Highway includes 14 two-bedroom apartments, as well as 14 on-site parking spaces. Condo-quality finishes include quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-unit laundry and individual HVAC. Some units also have deck access.

2034 N. Avondale features five two-bedroom and three three-bedroom layouts, in addition to eight on-site garage parking spaces. Completed in 2020, the building’s units have condo-quality finishes such as custom quartz countertops and Bosch appliances in the kitchens; oak flooring throughout; walk-in laundry rooms; 10-foot ceilings; and primary suites including double-sink vanities, rainfall showers, heated floors and custom closet built-ins. Units also have balconies and/or spacious private decks.

So far in 2025, Interra has brokered over $148 million in multifamily transactions on Chicago’s North and Northwest sides. These include the $2.95 million sale of 1350-1352 N. Cleveland Ave., the $4.5 million sale of 4954 N. Christiana Ave., the $2.2 million sale of 4321-23 N. Tripp Ave., the $3.15 million sale of 6254 N. Whipple St. and the $10.7 million sale of 811 W. Lill Ave.

Located among the many dining, shopping and entertainment options in Bucktown, 2034 N. Avondale is approximately 1 mile from notable venues such as The Salt Shed and Concord Music Hall. The area is close to the CTA’s Western Blue Line station, Armitage Brown Line station, Metra’s Clybourn station serving the Union Pacific North and Union Pacific Northwest lines and multiple bus routes.

5069 N. Northwest Highway is close to the many dining and shopping options along Milwaukee Avenue. The property is just minutes from the Kennedy Expressway and served by a nearby transit hub that features the CTA’s Jefferson Park Blue Line station, Metra Jefferson Park Union Pacific Northwest station and multiple bus routes.
