MARGATE, FL - Pulte Homes, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, has acquired 21.3 acres near the northwest corner of Atlantic Boulevard and Rock Island Road in Margate for its newest community, Coral Edge. Pulte will transform the former Margate Executive Golf Course into 132 new townhomes, bringing attainably priced new construction to a prime Broward County location
“We have a proven track record of transforming former golf courses into vibrant new communities across South Florida, and Coral Edge will be no exception,” said Brent Baker, PulteGroup’s Southeast Florida Division President. “We’re excited to bring a rare for-sale opportunity to this established community, offering families and first-time buyers the chance to own a modern, new home in a highly desirable and centrally located area.”
Coral Edge homes will feature three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and one-car garages, ranging from 1,682 to 1,727 square feet. Prices will start in the high $500,000s, with average selling prices in the low $600,000s, depending upon selected upgrades.
The community will offer amenities that encourage relaxation, recreation and connecting with other residents. Buyers can enjoy a resort-style pool, a community clubhouse with a fitness center, a tot lot and a multi-sport court for activities.
Owners will have convenient access to major highways, including the Florida Turnpike, Sawgrass Expressway and I-95, local schools, and retail/restaurant destinations such as Coral Square Mall and the Promenade at Coconut Creek. A new Margate City Center is also being planned that will bring new dining and shopping options even closer to home.
Sales at Coral Edge are expected to begin in the Summer of 2026, with the first move-ins expected later that year. For more information on Coral Edge, visit pulte.com/coraledge
In addition to Margate, Pulte has redeveloped three other golf courses in Broward County into new home communities. They include Hillcrest in Hollywood, Oak Tree in Oakland Park, and the Enclaves at Woodmont in Tamarac.
