LANCASTER, CA - EAH Housing, one of the largest and most respected nonprofit housing organizations in the United States, today announced the acquisition of two rental communities in Lancaster, Calif., preserving 82 affordable homes for low-income families and individuals in northern Los Angeles County. The developments, Arbor Lofts and Sagebrush I & II, provide affordable rental housing for households earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income (AMI).
“At EAH Housing, we see ourselves as long-term stewards of affordable communities,” said Laura Hall, President and CEO of EAH Housing. “Arbor Lofts and Sagebrush reflect our deep commitment to vibrant neighborhoods where residents can thrive for generations, supported by well-designed housing and essential services.”
Arbor Lofts, located on Lancaster Boulevard, is a 21-unit low-rise community built in 2009 with spacious four-bedroom apartments and modern amenities including central air, private balconies, and controlled building access. The property also features 3,800 square feet of commercial space.
Sagebrush I & II, built in 2011, offers 61 three- and four-bedroom apartments across five buildings, including townhome-style layouts. Amenities include a community lounge, courtyard, and secure building entry. Located on Milling Street, Sagebrush is within walking distance of retail, transit, and cultural resources in downtown Lancaster.
EAH Housing will apply its decades of property management expertise to maintain and enhance these communities, with plans to expand resident services and improve energy efficiency. Bell Realty Ventures, Inc. was crucial to both developments, with Rick Bell sourcing the property, securing financing, and coordinating the closing.
Building on its mission-driven preservation strategy, EAH Housing is pursuing a dedicated acquisitions program with a five-year goal of adding thousands of units across California and Hawai‘i to its portfolio. This focused effort strengthens community sustainability and ensures affordable housing remains available for generations to come.
