HOUSTON, TX - More than 1,000 Houston apartment industry professionals honored their best today at the Houston Apartment Association’s (HAA) annual Honors Awards (formerly Industry Achievement Awards) banquet. HAA members recognized 16 properties and 16 individuals representing a cross-section of apartment communities and jobs for their contributions to the industry.
The property awards, given for the second time this year, went to outstanding new development, garden-style and mid/high rise properties. Criteria included:
• Resident Service (floor plans, interior/exterior structure, maintenance, appropriate to locale, overall customer service)
• Physical Appearance/Appeal (both interior and exterior, models, office/common areas)
• Community Service (community revitalization, involvement, environmental awareness)
• Operating Performance (could include net effective rents, occupancy rate/retention, controllable expenses, and year-over-year results versus comparables in submarket)
• Unique Features/Amenities/Services that make the property stand out
