David Sisson Architecture Presents Design for Historic Wyoming Mills Redevelopment to Fall River Zoning Board for Approval

FALL RIVER, MA - Boston-based developer The Goldman Group commissioned David Sisson Architecture to redesign the historic abandoned property at 110 Chace Street into a modern mixed-use facility. With roughly 260,000 square feet to work with after limited demolition, the team designed an adaptive reuse project featuring 196 residential units and about 80,000 square feet of warehouse space to be leased. The plans were recently presented to the city's zoning board, receiving unanimous approval.

Plans were also presented for a new construction development on the site consisting of an additional 204 modern apartments and access to amenities including a pool and fitness center. 400+ parking spaces will be designated for the residents with an additional 90+ spaces on site for the warehouse space. The property, first home to the Wyoming Thread Company when built in 1845 and most recently operated by Duro Industries until 2016, will receive transformative site improvements turning the abandoned 11 acre site into a beautiful highlight in the city of Fall River and an exciting new community for residents.

Principal Architect, David Sisson, stated: “We’re grateful and honored at every opportunity we have to be part of a project like this, preserving the history of these incredible examples of New England industrial architecture. It takes a dedicated commitment to historic preservation and the community along with a vision for the future to take on a project like this. We’re proud to join the team at The Goldman Group to make this transformation a reality, and we’re thrilled to have the city’s support.”
