RangeWater Breaks Ground on New 304-Unit Apartment and Townhome Rental Housing Community in Thriving Atlanta Submarket

ATLANTA, GA - RangeWater Real Estate expands its presence in the Sun Belt with the closing of 7.5 acres inside the I-285 Perimeter along the dynamic Buford Highway Corridor within the city of Doraville, a prominent Atlanta community. Camino will add 304 apartment units and townhomes to the diverse metropolitan area marking the firm’s 26th development in the Atlanta area. This is the fourth project for their recently launched in-house construction company. The community broke ground on September 20. The completion of final homes is expected in Spring 2025.

“Atlanta continues to be a target market for our team to develop, acquire, manage and build,” says Steven Shores, Chairman and CEO of RangeWater. “Doraville stands out as one of the city's most culturally significant neighborhoods, and we feel privileged to collaborate with their team in creating a genuinely inspired rental housing community for residents.”

Set to emerge at the intersection of Buford Highway and Jess Norman Way at 3712 Stewart Road, Camino is within walking distance of Doraville’s City Hall and the new Assembly Yards mega-project, which will be a progressive, adaptive reuse hub for art, technology, recreation, and commerce and serve as an epicenter to the immediate area. RangeWater is installing a new section of the Peachtree Creek Greenway trail that will serve as the front-door for the community along Stewart Road. This segment is part of the City’s continued commitment to expanding the area’s network of trails and will offer future connectivity to City Hall and City Center as well as the Dorville MARTA station.

“The promise of new development is a testament to Doraville’s mission to provide quality services, foster growth and build a vibrant community for our residents and businesses,” says Doraville Mayor Joseph Geierman. “These initiatives are not just about bricks and mortar; they represent the tangible manifestation of our city’s aspirations. The generosity of RangeWater's team in collaborating with us and their commitment to the residents of Doraville leave me feeling truly humbled and exhilarated to watch Camino break ground.”

Buford Highway is a vibrant and diverse corridor that encapsulates Doraville’s rich multicultural fabric. Lined with a plethora of international eateries, markets, and shops, Buford Highway has become a hub where various communities converge to celebrate their respective cuisines, languages, and traditions.

Rob Sucher, Managing Director of Development for RangeWater, states, “Camino is the direct result of a successful partnership between the City of Doraville and RangeWater. The city council and staff have played a crucial role in providing support and guidance, ensuring Camino becomes the high-quality rental housing option that both current and future residents of Doraville deserve. We are thrilled to participate in the ongoing advancement of the area and to contribute to Doraville’s dedication to diversity, vitality, and community.'"

The community will offer a diverse selection of micro, studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and townhomes, spanning from 474 to 1,411 square feet. These homes will showcase contemporary features including quartz countertops, luxury vinyl tile flooring, stainless steel appliances, and smart home technology. Camino will also feature various amenities such as a dog park and spa, a pool courtyard, co-working offices with dedicated podcast recording space, an outdoor grilling station, a fitness center, a rooftop lounge, and a private speakeasy.
