WASHINGTON, DC - Weidner Apartment Homes earned national recognition this April by making the National Multifamily Housing Council’s (NMHC) 2023 NMHC 50, the annual ranking of the nation’s largest apartment owners, managers, developers, builders, and syndicators.

“The key reasons for our company’s success are Our People and what we value. When I started, I quickly realized my success would be based on the people working shoulder to shoulder with me, and the only way to achieve greatness was by working together. Our People set the standard for our cities by displaying quality, professionalism, and respect to all.” Said Dean Weidner, Weidner Apartment Homes’ Founder and Chairman.

Founded by W. Dean Weidner in 1977 in Seattle, WA, Weidner Apartment Homes is a multi-faceted real estate investment and property management company recognized industry-wide as an efficient provider of quality rental homes and a creative developer of new housing.

As of April 2023, Weidner has 300+ multifamily residential communities in its portfolio. In addition, Weidner owns and manages approximately 800,000+ square feet of commercial, retail, and office space. Weidner’s Vision is to distinguish itself as the apartment industry leader in each of its markets, including Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Minnesota, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and four Canadian provinces; Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

This year marks the 34th edition of the NMHC Top 50 lists. NMHC partners with Kingsley Associates, a leading real estate research and consulting firm for the NMHC 50’s research and analysis. All apartment owners, managers, developers, builders, and syndicators are invited to answer a survey questionnaire about their previous year’s activities. Apartment owners, managers, and syndicators are ranked based on their portfolio holdings (either owned or managed) as of January 1, 2023, while developers and builders are ranked based on the number of units started in 2022.
