DALLAS, TX - Package Concierge, a company based in Dallas, Texas, will exhibit at the Las Vegas NAA Student Housing Conference with their debut apartment package delivery locker system.
Apartment communities, especially student housing complexes, can receive up to 20,000 packages a year – over 50 packages a day – and the numbers are growing due to increased online ordering. That is a lot of paperwork, staffing, delivery drivers, storage, and other concerns for a property manager to handle on a daily basis.
Package Concierge has developed a ground-breaking technology to address the escalating problem of undelivered, lost or misplaced packages at student housing complexes across the country. Georgianna W Oliver, CEO and parent of teenagers said, “Parents who send care packages to their college kids will appreciate a secure and reliable solution to student housing delivers. And the students can be sure the kid next door won’t be eating the wrong mom’s cookies.” The innovative software and state-of-the-art hardware solution allows packages to be delivered into secure electronic lockers located at a convenient on-site location. Internationally renowned carriers such as FedEx, DHL and UPS can make deliveries directly to the lockers, effectively removing this responsibility from management’s to-do list. Once the package is stored within the secure locker, a text message or email will be immediately sent to the resident. The resident can then pick-up their package on a safe and convenient 24/7 basis.
Management will no longer be faced with untidy package rooms taking up valuable real estate. The worry of hiring and supervising mail room staff is a non-issue with Package Concierge. Their self-sufficient system reduces human error while providing the comforting touch of a personal concierge. No more misplaced, lost, or undelivered packages.
Founded in December 2012, Package Concierge, LLC was formed to provide a more comprehensive approach for managing packages in apartment communities, especially off-campus student housing. This emerging apartment service company is piloting their lockers in several US locations and plans to officially launch in June 2013.
