CHARLOTTE, NC – Cushman & Wakefield announced that the commercial real estate services firm has hired Alex McDermott and Austin Green as Executive Managing Directors. They will join the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group and be based in the firm’s Charlotte office.

“We are excited to add Alex and Austin to our Carolinas Multifamily team where they will focus on both value-add and new construction opportunities. Alex and Austin have been market leaders within the region for the past 10 years and their combined experience and expertise will further solidify our position as the top multifamily advisory group in the Sunbelt,” said Paul Marley, Executive Managing Director of the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group.

“Alex and Austin bring a track record of success in advising clients throughout the life cycle of their holdings at the highest level. Their diverse experience is a natural fit to bolster our market leading multifamily practice team in the Carolinas,” added Brett Gray, Managing Principal of Cushman & Wakefield’s Charlotte, Triad, and South Carolina operations.

“We have a dominant market position in multifamily throughout the Sunbelt and the addition of Alex and Austin will allow our firm to continue to be at the forefront of what’s next for the sector,” noted John O’Neill, President, U.S. Multifamily Capital Markets. “As senior leaders, Alex and Austin will help guide our Carolinas multifamily business and identify growth opportunities for the Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group as a whole.”

“This is a great next step for us, and we’re excited to be a part of the existing multifamily team where we can add to their success while also leveraging Cushman & Wakefield’s exceptional brand and platform,” said McDermott and Green.
