SAN DIEGO, CA - San Diego-based Sunrise Management – which has specialized in the management of multifamily real estate since 1978 – has promoted Dennis Mitchell to vice president of client strategy. Mitchell was previously a regional vice president for the company’s Portland office.
According to Joe Greenblatt, CEO and president of Sunrise Management, in his new role, Mitchell will now oversee Sunrise Management’s outreach and growth in all markets, including the Pacific Northwest. “Dennis is well-deserving of this promotion. Since joining our company in June 2020, he has launched our Portland office, spearheading our successful expansion into the Pacific Northwest,” Greenblatt said. “Due to his leadership and extensive knowledge of the region, we now have more than 1,700 units throughout Oregon and Washington. We are now well-positioned for future growth as Dennis directs our ongoing expansion in this region and throughout the West.”
Mitchell has nearly 15 years of multifamily and commercial property management in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining Sunrise Management, he was the regional manager for Avenue5 Residential in Portlandincluding mixed-use developments comprised of 1,500 residential units as well as retail. In that role, he oversaw eight properties – leading client management, budgeting, market analysis, strategy development and recruitment.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an M.B.A from Western Governor’s University in Washington. A licensed designated real estate broker in Arizona and Washington and a principal broker in Oregon, Mitchell is an accredited residential manager (ARM) by the Institute for Real Estate Management (IREM).
