Affordable Housing Operator Evolve Begins Renovation of 216-Unit Concord Commons Apartment Community in Rockford, Illinois

ROCKFORD, IL — Envolve LLC, one of the country’s largest affordable multifamily property owners and managers, purchased Concord Commons Apartments in mid-2020. The company is excited to form lasting relationships and secure its place in the greater Rockford community—especially now that pandemic-related restrictions are beginning to relax.

“We’re excited that Envolve is making such a significant investment in our community and for our residents at Concord Commons,” said Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara. “The Envolve team has a successful track record in communities across the country and we’re pleased to welcome them to Rockford.”

Concord Commons will be receiving many upgrades in the coming months, all with the goal of making the community an even better place to live.

“Our residents are our most valuable assets, and we’re committed to ensuring they have homes in which they can take pride,” said Tammy Nunnally, VP, Portfolio Operations for Envolve Communities. “We can’t wait to see the improvements that will be occurring at Concord and look forward to partnering with vendors in the local community to make it happen.”

The updates are already creating a buzz around the property. “The new units look really good,” commented Concord Commons resident, Yvonne Williams. “I'm happy we have a new company that wants to help us out here!”

Envolve recently founded several new programs to benefit its employees, residents, and the communities that are touched by its geographic footprint. Two of these are the Envolve Wellness Program and the Get Envolved Foundation.

“Envolve Wellness allows our employees and residents to focus on and improve their wellness from the convenience of home, while the Get Envolved Foundation is our company’s 501(c)(3). It makes donations and grants to organizations that actively work to improve the lives of Envolve residents and the communities in which they live,” said Jeff Ezekiel, President of Envolve Communities.
