Milhaus Continues to Expand Florida Footprint With Opening of Two Apartment Communities Totaling 366-Units in Tampa Market

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Milhaus, a national award-winning developer, owner and operator of Class-A, in-fill and mixed-use developments, is growing its Florida footprint. The $53 million Lector 85 community in Ybor City welcomed its first residents in March 2021, and the $21 million Notch is expected to open this month in Seminole Heights.

The completion of both projects marks an exciting milestone for Milhaus’ growth in the Florida market and continued efforts to invest in up-and-coming, culturally diverse neighborhoods like Seminole Heights and Ybor City. Notch brings 112 apartment units to Seminole Heights, with amenities ranging from a pet spa and a 24-hour fitness studio to a complimentary coffee and tea bar and automated package receiving. Lector 85 is located in the historic Ybor City neighborhood and includes 254 apartment units, 11,485 commercial square feet, and amenities including a pool and sun deck, a pet spa, 24-hour fitness center, courtyard with fire pit, bike parking and more.

“Tampa is thriving, and Milhaus is excited to be part of its growth by focusing on neighborhoods where young professionals and families are thriving, too,” said Jourdan Woodruff, Director of Development Operations for Milhaus. “Notch’s fresh, unique design allows it to stand out amongst competition in Tampa while building off the strong culture and community growth of Seminole Heights. Lector 85 was created to provide convenient, amenitized living in one of Tampa’s most historic and culturally rich neighborhoods, Ybor City.”

Lector 85 and Notch join Milhaus’ existing Florida properties: Versol in Bonita Springs, Artistry St. Pete in St. Petersburg, and HITE in Tampa. Milhaus is actively working to grow its scope in the Florida market, facilitated by the recent hires of Vice President of Development for the Southeast Region Tim Johnson and Director of Development Troy Newberg. Upon completion of Lector 85 and Notch, Milhaus’ five properties will total more than 900 apartments.

Milhaus is partnering with Juneau Construction, Curts Gaines Hall Jones Architects, Dwell Design Studio and Landmark Engineering on the Lector 85 property. Partners on Notch include EWI Construction, Dwell Design Studio, and Bohler Engineering.

Founded in 2010, Milhaus exclusively targets secondary markets across the Midwest and Sunbelt. The company’s current portfolio includes over two dozen properties in 10 states and nearly 6,000 units. For more on Milhaus, visit www.milhaus.com
