HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Apartment Association (HAA) recently awarded Kenneth Bohan its esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his numerous contributions to the multifamily industry during his more than 40-year career.
“By awarding Ken Bohan with the Lifetime Achievement Award, we are recognizing his tireless dedication and contributions to the industry and the association,” said Jenifer Paneral, Houston Apartment Association President.
Bohan, president and CEO of The Liberty Group, a Houston-based full-service human resources company, joined HAA in 1976 and has served on the Education Advisory Council, the Product Service Council (PSC) and as a delegate to the National Apartment Association. He was elected the president of the Product Service Council in 1988. In June 2012, Bohan was appointed by Mayor Annise Parker to the City of Houston Planning Commission.
“Ken Bohan has an impressive list of accomplishments that reflect his passion for community service,” Mayor Parker said. “His steadfast involvement in the community has made an impression on us all, and we know Houston is a better city with residents like Ken around.”
The Liberty Group has placed many people in the multifamily industry, Bohan said. “Of the current HAA Board of Directors that not owners or vendor members, 96 percent of them have been a candidate of the firm sometime in their career and more than 34 percent of them have been placed at least once by Liberty.”
Bohan is only the fourth supplier member to be honored with HAA Lifetime Achievement Award. With an extensive knowledge of the multifamily staffing needs, both corporate and on-site, Bohan and The Liberty Group continue to help fill a constantly increasing number of positions available in the rapidly growing apartment industry in Houston.
