TAMPA, FL - The National Apartment Association (NAA) will have prominent roles at two real estate policy forums with members of Congress held during the Republican and Democratic political conventions.
NAA Chairman Jerry Wilkinson represented the multifamily housing industry at the recent RNC forum in Tampa and was given the spotlight to ask questions of Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.), co-chairman of the Senate Real Estate Caucus, and Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio), co-chairman of the House Real Estate Caucus.
Mr. Ferris was a member of multifamily delegates in attendance and commented: "Jerry's questions regarding the impact of potential tax reform in 2013, business interest deductions and carried interest were key topics that needed to be discussed. Jerry did a great job representing the industry and I was glad I was able to support the efforts of NAA and NMHC."
NAA and 18 other real estate organizations joined forces to sponsor these high-profile forums to raise the real estate industry's visibility through a single signature event at each convention.
