National Association of Home Builders Multifamily Pillars of The Industry Award Announces Winners in Virtual Ceremony

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) honored outstanding work in multifamily construction, building systems, aging-in-place and global innovation last week at the NAHB Pillars of the Industry virtual awards ceremony.

"The Pillars of the Industry honor some of the top builders and designs in today’s housing industry," said NAHB Chairman Chuck Fowke, a custom home builder from Tampa, Fla. "NAHB is pleased to recognize the innovation and creativity 2020’s winners have demonstrated, especially in a year that was unprecedented.”

Kirkpatrick Park, nominated by Nashville-based architecture firm Smith Gee Studios took top project honors as the Multifamily Community of the Year while The Michaels Organization won Multifamily Development Firm of the Year.

Winners and finalists exemplified the best in the multifamily industry, including creative amenities, desirable locations, high-performance building practices and rich designs. Attention to detail was also key for many projects, especially those with noteworthy views to take advantage of. Thematic décor, stunning finishes, historic elements, curb appeal and ample green space were also popular.
