Sunbelt Forest Products Named Lowe's 2020 Vendor Partner of The Year for Its Unique Contributions in The Lumber Division

BARTOW, FL - Sunbelt Forest Products, one of the most formidable wood preserving operations in the Southeastern United States, has been named Lowe’s 2020 Vendor Partner of the Year in its lumber division.

The award recognizes the unique contributions Sunbelt Forest Products has made to the success of the national home improvement retailer over the last year. Vendor partners eligible for this recognition in the lumber category represent more than $6 billion in sales to Lowe’s and supply a variety of pressure-treated wood products.

“To be recognized amongst a field of such large and capable vendors is a badge of honor and a direct reflection on our entire team’s outstanding effort in the midst of the most demanding lumber market in U.S. history,” said Ken DelleDonne, Sunbelt Forest Products president. “We are grateful for Lowe’s continued willingness to grow with us over the years and to our outstanding suppliers, from lumber to logistics, who came through for us at every turn.”

Over 30 years ago, Sunbelt Forest Products’ in Bartow, Fla., began supplying Lowe’s stores in Florida with pressure-treated fence sections. In 2012 and 2015, Sunbelt began expanding its geographic reach through the acquisition of three treating facilities in Rockledge, Fla., Louisville, Ala., and Athens, Ala. Since then, Sunbelt Forest Products has grown to supply construction-grade pressure-treated lumber, fencing, pickets, decking, and other related pressure-treated wood products in the Southeast United States to more than 200 Lowe’s stores in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida.

“I’m proud of the strong relationship our team has built with Lowe’s through the years,” said Howe Q. Wallace, president of PalletOne, Inc., parent company of Sunbelt Forest Products. “Our consistent dedication to put ‘facts on the table,’ even when those facts aren’t ideal, significantly enhances the problem solving that continues to take place in 2020. Our management team makes sure that information flows, offering innovative lumber solutions, during some very challenging times.”

Sunbelt Forest Products is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PalletOne, Inc., America’s largest manufacturer of new wood pallets.

Sunbelt Forest Products will receive the award at a virtual vendor forum on Oct. 12, 2020. As the lumber category winner, Sunbelt Forest Products is in contention for Vendor Partner of the Year for Lowe’s Building Products Merchandising Division.
