JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL – LandSouth Construction, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based general contractor specializing in multifamily developments, has announced it will begin building Phillips at Research Park, a $19,875,000 Class-A luxury apartment community in Durham, N.C.
The community will have 292 residences, 19 buildings and a resort-style clubhouse with abundant amenities. Construction will commence this month and scheduled for completion in August 2013.

Phillips Development was founded in 2001 and is located in Tampa, Fla. Chancey Design Partnership of Tampa are the architects. LandSouth Construction has completed more than 7,000 multifamily units, including apartments, hotels, senior living, student and military housing, condominiums and townhomes.
When completed, Phillips at Research Park amenities will include a 6,000 square foot clubhouse with full service fitness center, media room and pool. Other amenities include Bocce courts, on-site carwash, tot-lot, grilling area, picnic areas and 20 acres of undisturbed woodlands for walking, jogging or biking.
The garden style walkup one, two and three bedroom homes with one or two baths will range from 780 to 1,173 square feet of living space. Interior features will include 42” cabinets; vinyl plank flooring; granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and security system. Covered and surface parking will be available.
Part of the Research Triangle Park area, Phillips at Research Park is located on approximately 44 acres at the intersection of Ellis Rd and So Hi Road, close to Duke University. Triangle Park is home to 157 companies, 39,000 full-time employees and 10,000+ contract employees. Durham is also home to the North Carolina Research Campus, which is a $1.5 billion life sciences hub that is home to eight universities.
