M&R Development Announces Construction Start on 270-Unit Elevate Luxury Apartment Community in Madison, Wisconsin

CHICAGO, IL - Today, M&R Development announced it has begun construction on a 270-unit luxury apartment building in Madison, Wisc. named Elevate. Located at 5022 American Parkway, Elevate’s first move-ins are anticipated to take place in August 2021. M&R is co-developing the project with Campbell Capital Group, LLC.

“Madison’s east side historically has not had an abundance of residential development, however with American Family’s headquarters nearby and the new UW-Madison clinic under construction in the area, there is a definite need for new housing options,” said Anthony Rossi, Sr., managing partner M&R Development. “As statistics show, everyone appreciates a shorter commute time – especially when you can walk to work – so we expect Elevate will be a welcome addition to the area, which is seeing a rise in job growth.”

A four-story building, Elevate will feature studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. All homes feature kitchens with white quartz counters, tiled backsplash and modern cabinetry; cultured marble bathroom sinks with an integral wave bowl and subway tile design for the tub and shower surrounds; Ecobee smart thermostats; 9-foot ceilings; and full-size washers and dryers. Most apartments will have balconies while select units will include walk-in closets.

The center of the community will be a two-story clubhouse, complete with an outdoor pool, grilling stations, fire pit and lounge seating. Inside, the clubhouse will include an entertainment kitchen; 24-hour coffee bar; state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio and weights; fitness studio/yoga room featuring on-demand programs; business center with private conference rooms and work stations; a pet washing station with grooming table and dryer; and a self-service package room with 24-hour access. The building also will include underground, heated parking; storage lockers; and a complimentary bike sharing station with personal bike storage and repair station.

“Not only will we offer a complimentary bike sharing service, as we do at most of our properties, but because of Elevate’s proximity to many local jobs, we’re ensuring there’s ample bike storage available for our residents,” said Rossi.

Residents of Elevate will be close to East Towne Regional Mall, Dane County Airport and UW Orthopedic Hospital. The UW-Madison campus, capitol building and downtown Madison are approximately 20 minutes away by car.

Madison, Wisc.-based Stevens Construction is serving as general contractor for Elevate with Midlothian, Va.-based Poole & Poole Architecture as the architect. RMK Management will be handling leasing and property management.

Elevate marks the second Wisconsin apartment building to have started construction in 2020 by M&R Development. Earlier this year, the company announced it had broken ground on 4200 On The Lake, a 236-unit luxury apartment building on Lake Michigan in St. Francis, Wisc., an inner-ring suburb located only 5 miles south of downtown Milwaukee. “We’re very excited to have projects underway in two distinct yet vibrant areas of the state,” said Rossi.
